My name is Sheena-Rose, hence my title of this blog and a business I am pursuing.
I will be chronicling my journey into the florists' world. I have had experience in floral making, like making corsages, boutonnieres, wreathes and centerpieces since I was in high school.
I joined the FFA, Future Farmers of America, Fresno Chapter since 1999. Instead of learning how to care for animals, I chose to delve into horticulture also know as floriculture. I learned the basics of how to set up and arrange my floral into beautiful gifts for people to enjoy, which ended up turning into a little profitable side business for me through high school as I made arrangements for couples going to formals and proms. I have also competed in the FFA floriculture competition, going against other chapters in the Central California region.
I have also done a wedding with wedding bouquets, centerpieces and multitudes of corsages and boutonnieres for the wedding party, though I was a novice in 2005.
Presently, I am taking floral classes as a refresher course and to learn new styles of floral making.
Now that you know my floral history in a nutshell, I hope you will begin to enjoy the rest of my posts in the future as I will more than likely post pictures, instead of my endless talking.
