Hand Tied Bouquet

This is one of my favorite bouquets I have made.
I'm not lying, as you'll see as time goes on, that each bouquet or arrangement is beautiful in their own way. I shouldn't play favorites so I say they're all my favorites. Hah!
This was the first bouquet I have made taken this floral class, which was sometime in Fall 2011.
I took pics of how I have tied the bouquet, pinning the ribbon in 2 styles using boutonniere pearl pins.
The flowers used: Hydrangeas, Roses, Freesia and Lemon Leaf, as the base around the flowers.

Orchid Corsage and Boutonniere

I've been falling in love with orchids lately.
I love all the colors they display.
This set is simple, but it is so different! The white ribbon and the green Myrtle sets off the orchids' color quite nicely.
The flowers used: Cymbidium Orchids and Myrtle.

Floating Candle Centerpiece

Love this centerpiece!
Who doesn't love an arrangement with a floating candle to set off a mood of this winter whimsy.
If you haven't noticed already, most of my pics consist of the ones I've been making in my floral classes with Sarinya Villanueva, The Daily Petal. She is a wonderful teacher and likes to push my boundaries in floral art. As time goes on, I've noticed I need to relax more in making my arrangements. I'm getting comfortable as I see that it's still beautiful although my Type A personality is competing when it comes to trying to create with perfection. I'm starting to broaden my horizons in creating.
The flowers used for this creation: Dusty Miller, Spider Mums, Hydrangeas, Spray Roses, and Berzillia.
White feathers were interspersed in this arrangement giving it an ethereal, wispy, airy feel and to complement the Dusty Miller.
